TAFE JOURNAL

Tuesday the 11th of February 2020:

This week we learned with Deborah how to open our free WordPress site. I started to create it and the reason why I chose to do the driving was because I have my driving school and I want my business to grow. For the first in my life, I discovered how to open an Instagram page. I also discovered how to link to my WordPress.

Tuesday the 25th of February 2020:

The purpose of this site is to promote my driving school business. My audience will be many young people fromage 16-25 but it also will be open to people from ages 25-65. My goal is to see all drivers be good and safe drivers on our roads. This is the only reason I was driven into starting my own driving school business, I know for a fact and know from experience. In my 7 years driving as a driving instructor teaching many kids and adult to be good and safe drivers. The number one problem I have seen and experience is that the students have a lack of knowledge of the road rules and only lack of experience. The students are unaware of the dangers on our roads and because of their ack of experience they don’t know how to make the correct judgements in difficult/dangerous situations.

Tuesday the 10th of March 2020:

This week I was working on who I am? I had given a brief of who I am and also used my twitter account which I had for many years just sitting there to use and my new Instagram account. I discovered how important social media is the growth of any business as the days of door knocking and flyers that been long gone. I must keep up with the advancement of technology in order to stay in business.

Tuesday the 24th of March 2020:

This week we had to create an about page on our word press.

D” Difference driving school was established in January 2014. We are proud to be servicing the western Sydney/Hills/Shire and Eastern suburbs. Many students have come with the “d” difference driving school, have passed and have let friends/family know about us. We have current cars all fitted with dual controls and very competitive in the market. We are located in Western Sydney and our aim is to make you become great driver!

Tuesday the 28th of April 2020:

This week immediately after the TAFE holidays. I begun to search for the best of my car on my phone to see which ones I would add to the WordPress site. The photos I chose for my business and site were all photos I and my wife took on our trips around NSW and photos of my car.

Tuesday the 12th of May 2020:

I spent an hour with our head teacher Natalie navigating through the course and its criteria also learning how to use and operate adobe audition. I myself I am on the lower side of technology I can do a thing like write a story on Microsoft word and save it to my desktop or USB. In class we learned how to edit photos professionally and present them on our blog.

Tuesday the 26th of May 2020:

I had the privilege to conduct an interview with one of the breakfast hosts on hope1032 Duncan Robinson. We spoke about the Corona Virus Pandemic and how it has affected him as a person. He said “he has more time to spend with his family and neighbours and he can play Legos and his RC car. The interview went on for about 2 minutes it was a nice experience for me.

Tuesday the 9th of June 2020:

This week we were told how to add the contact me information on our WordPress site. So, people can be able to contact me via phone, email, twitter and Instagram. This was awesome and very encouraging for me to learn this and also for the business.

Tuesday the 23rd of June 2020:

This week it was all about going live on Word press for the general public to see and comment and also get in touch with me. How exciting was this from not knowing anything about a WordPress site to going live, it was amazing. The following weeks were TAFE holidays it was reflection time.

Tuesday the 21st of July 2020:

The following next 6 weeks we were learning about different story writing from writing humour to writing satire. This is an introduction to the new semester after the holidays about stories and the emphasis Deborah spoke about was spell checking and to use Grammarly.

Tuesday the 4th of August 2020:

This week I started to research and put my story together about the Corona virus pandemic. I also chose the correct the photo for this particular story. I also conducting another interview with a guy named Travis Keyser. I showed it to Deborah and the class but Deborah liked it but told me not to put it up on my WordPress.

Tuesday the 18th of August 2020:

This week I was working on post the video of the interview with Duncan Robinson from hope1032. I only released that I could not open the video unless it was put on YouTube. So, I decided to write it as a script because he already told me to put it on my WordPress site. At that time I did not know that it had to be linked via you tube, so I did not want to bother him anymore.

Tuesday the 1st of September 2020:

This week I want to do my story on the driving school how it started and what was the reason of the driving school starting in the beginning. I found a nice photo and edited to my story. Also, this week I had the privilege once again to found someone in the Macedonian community who has a radio program. I always wanted to be a radio announcer, so the next 6 weeks me and my wife went along and learned the functionality of broadcasting radio. I also did my first live on-air broadcasting program with this man through 2NBC.

Tuesday the 15th of September 2020:

This week was so interesting as I as have a passion for soccer. I only played soccer at school for fun and outside for fun as a goalkeeper. I had chosen the Macedonian national soccer team. The reason I chose them is even though they are weak side they made it for the first time in history in the Euro 2021.

Tuesday the 13th of October 2020:

This week I wrote my story about my first time in South Africa even though I have never been since then I was my only time there. It was an exciting story for me with lots of the meaning and fun. I spent 1 month there and met my wife’s family there. I chose a beautiful photo of us on my wife’s 24th birthday. I also did a lot of zoom sessions with Deborah to get me up to scratch.

Tuesday the 27th of October 2020:

This week the story I chose was the bushfires Australia. This was the main highlight of 2020 apart from Corona pandemic. The bushfires claimed many lives and nature also our Family friends house was burnt down in Wingello. The air in our area was horrible and we could not breath properly due to the smoke in air and had to wear masks.

Tuesday the 10th of November 2020:

This week I was finalising all my stories and portfolio. The photos for each story and also finished of my gallery with 6 original photos of nature and a brief story of nature. I believe the work that was done was very good and I learned a lot in this past year. I never had been good at Writing but Deborah complemented me for poetry and creativity and also said that “You are very talented and a nice person”.

Tuesday the 24th of November 2020:

This week all the assessment were due and were uploaded to my portfolio. Deborah gave me feedback about the interview she loved it and said” it was a great piece of work”. My wife has always been cheering me on and believing in me and she is the reason why today I am enrolled in this course. Deborah our teacher was always been believing in me and have been giving me feedback.

Tuesday the 8th of December 2020:

This is the last day of the course and at last hooray it is finished. I was not expecting the critics that Deborah gave me, they were the truth but not what I was expecting. I had not passed the units to get me certificate 4 and therefore I was disappointed in myself and had to additional classes with Deborah during the holidays and the weekends.

MY FIRST TIME IN SOUTH AFRICA

My first time in South Africa

I traveled to South Africa in September 2015. I arrived there 2 days before my wife’s birthday. We went to a place called Mustangs Spur on that Thursday afternoon my wife was turning 24 and my mother in law was there with us. The atmosphere was great I had met my brother in law for the first time in my life there, even though I heard great things about him. As we are conversing with each other and enjoying ourselves over the delicious food. The staff at Spurs surprised us with nice ice cream cake and even sang happy birthday to my wife it was such a pleasurable moment. One we would tell our children and grandchildren. It was my first time in South Africa and I did not know the locals were so friendly and caring as the South African saying goes “It takes a village to raise a child” so everybody was there for one another something I never experienced in my life here in Australia or anywhere else I traveled.

It was getting a bit late so we got a lift by my brother in law to the taxi stand and we caught a taxi into town, the taxi was full of people and so many people in Pretoria the nation’s capital. For those who do not know South Africa does not have daylight savings so by 6pm its already dark there and the people are all trying to get home by taxi’s.

When we got into town we stopped by a restaurant and had some traditional food boiled corn and mealy maize and the food was so delicious. We decide to go shopping so we bought some gifts and we were heading home. We walked to the taxi stand and caught the taxi for home, in the taxi there was a young guy who was trying sell as a battery charger for about $7Australian, the funny thing was  the guy exactly came to us when my wife’s phone was dying and we bought the battery charger but got ripped off because it only worked for 30 minutes.

We continued on our jolly way home did not let that hiccup spoil my wife’s day it was her birthday after all. We got home and sat down and cut the cake, laughed talked about our beautiful day and our experiences.

It was close to midnight so it was time to sleep. The next day we went to a theme park in Johannesburg called Gold reef city and it was so wonderful. The people there started taking photos of me and with me it was a beautiful spring day and the trees were blossoming. That was my experience in South Africa a great time and it all turn out great and a nice experience.

“D” DIFFERENCE DRIVING SCHOOL

“D” DIFFERENCE DRIVING SCHOOL

The “d” difference driving school was establish by Daniel Prostizenovski in 2014. It is a small but very successful business.  I have many years of hands-on experience and I love to teach students to become great drivers on the roads.

We have had many challenges as to helping the students pass their provisional license. The students come with zero or very little experience on the roads and with many bad habits passed on by their parents/guardians. Some students even have done a lot of driving, but not safe driving and what is expected of them.

Our driving school has very effective training methods designed to help the students become good and safe drivers. They are also designed to help the students pass first go around.

We take pride in what we do, we value, respect all our student regardless of their gender, race or color and we are always committed to giving 100% customer satisfaction, integrity and commitment.

We love to see our students pass and driver independently to wherever their desired place maybe, work, school and home.

We are committed in picking up our students from home, work and school and returning them there also dropping them of where they desire with their parents/guardian’s permission.

Reflection:

We are small business and were very affected last year during the corona pandemic and could not drive for a long period of time.

THE AFFECT OF THE CORONA VIRUS

INTERVIEW WITH DUNCAN ROBINSON

ABOUT THE AFFECT OF THE CORONA VIRUS

I conducted an interview with the Hope 1032 weekday morning radio presenter. The topic was the affect of the corona virus to our daily lives.

On the photo from left to right me, Sam Robertson and Duncan Robinson at a concert at C3 Oxford falls.

Daniel:  Hello Guys we have a Duncan Robinson here form Hope 1032, and we want to talk about the Corona Virus Pandemic.

Daniel: How has the Corona virus affected you, Duncan?

Duncan: Well man working conditions have changed drastically, I used to be in a studio all day long and now I actually work in a home studio and do all the connections over teams Microsoft. Teams we use that for video conferencing and then I work out of a home studio.

Daniel: That’s pretty cool so what else has changed and what else is different?

Duncan: Well, I think family life is really different man your obviously at home with the family full time, the kids are doing online learning, which means that you have to be online teacher at home, so often times you finish your day at work and then go in and do a few hours teaching with the kiddos, but the nice thing is things seem to slowdown, like at the end of the day we meet up in a Cal de sac and catch up with the neighbours, we go on bike rides. Like things are actually easier and there is less in our calendar. It’s just different man.

Daniel: That’s pretty cool at least now like you got more time with your family and you can work on your old projects, have you been working on anything?

Duncan: Mate apart from doing up my studio, no its really simple stuff like I got some gardening to do around the place and things like that but, most of the time we just hanging around with the kiddos and building leggo’s and I got a RC car, which I haven’t had one in like 35 years and I’ve been driving that with the kiddos which is a bit of fun.

Daniel: Oh, that’s cool, thank you very much Duncan and we have Duncan Robinson here from hope1032. Thank you for your time.

Reflection: It was good the see these guys for the first in my life even though I had listened to their breakfast for many years. It was a great night and a privilege they are awesome guys.

BUSH FIRES AUSTRALIA

BUSHFIRES AUSTRALIA

‘’Many wild animals are losing their lives and inhabitations, due to many hectares of bushlands destroyed by bushfires.

There were calls received from foreign aids to help with the bushfires. There were a couple of firefighters from the USA that lost their lives while fighting the bushfires.

The firefighters were working around the clock to stop the fires and volunteers were losing their lives. Some are seen as heroes to us Australian’s and the rest of world.

Authorities are bracing for a dangerous new phase in the bushfires tonight, with high temperatures and strong winds set to accelerate the already devastating fire conditions across the country.

There are fears that a number of still-raging blazes could merge to create “monster infernos” in Victoria and New South Wales.

Emergency warnings are in place in Victoria and New South Wales. With extreme temperatures and unpredictable winds arriving, coaling hundreds of fires that continue to burn across large parts of Australia’s east.

Thousands of firefighters have been called but, there are fears that major blazes burning could spread into untouched regions.

Meanwhile, there is a devastation that is emerging on Kangaroo Island in South Australia – half of which has been wiped out by an out-of-control blaze that has killed at least two people.

Earlier this afternoon the Prime Minister announced the deployment of 3000 defence force reservists to assist with the bushfire crisis. Adelaide is also setting sail from Sydney to assist with bushfire evacuations in southern New South Wales and also Victoria.

REFLECTION: The bushfire that started last November, was one of the worst fires ever to be recorded in Australian history.

It has affected my family and many fellow Australians. The most affected people were the ones who lost their loved ones and homes.

I had a family friend whose house was burnt down to the ground in Wingello.

Where I live in south west Sydney, the air was filled with a lot of smoke that we even had to wear masks to breath.

There was a short supply of food and water in our rural areas. ‘’

CORONA VIRUS 2020 IN AUSTRALIA

CORONA VIRUS 2020 in Australia

The COVID 19 pandemic is part of the ongoing worldwide pandemic of the corona virus 2019. The first confirmed case in Australia was identified on 25 January 2020, in Victoria, when a man who had returned from Wuhan, China, tested positive for the virus.

Australian borders were closed to all non-residents on 20 March.Social distancing rules were imposed on 21 March, and state governments started to close ‘non-essential’ services. “Non-essential services” included social gathering venues such as pubs and clubs and restaurant’s but unlike many other countries did not include most business operations such as construction, manufacturing and many retail categories. The number of new cases initially grew greatly, then levelled out at about 350 per day around 22 March, and started falling at the beginning of April to under 20 cases per day by the end of the month.

A second wave of infections outbroke in Victoria during May and June, which was attributed to an outbreak at a Melbourne hotel used for quarantining international arrivals. The second wave was much more widespread and deadlier than the first; at its peak, the state had over 7,000 active cases. The wave ended with zero new cases being recorded on 26 October.

As of 21 November 2020, Australia has reported 27,807 cases, 25,338 recoveries, and 907 deaths, with Victoria accounting for nearly 75 percent of cases and 90 percent of fatalities. Compared to other Western countries, notably the United States and European countries, Australia’s handling has been praised for its effectiveness and fast-forward reactions.

REFLECTION:

The coronavirus has been a life changing and challenging situation for all Australia and the whole world.

As for me, the virus has affected my studies at Tafe where our classes were moved are online.

My Driving school business went on a standstill for three to four months.

Whenever me and my wife will go to Costco, we will not find toilet paper, eggs, Vinegar and Sugar.

We had to make dramatic changes to our lives by not been able to visit our friends which we will see often.

Our Church was closed until end of May so our services went online.
