BUSH FIRES AUSTRALIA

BUSHFIRES AUSTRALIA

‘’Many wild animals are losing their lives and inhabitations, due to many hectares of bushlands destroyed by bushfires.

There were calls received from foreign aids to help with the bushfires. There were a couple of firefighters from the USA that lost their lives while fighting the bushfires.

The firefighters were working around the clock to stop the fires and volunteers were losing their lives. Some are seen as heroes to us Australian’s and the rest of world.

Authorities are bracing for a dangerous new phase in the bushfires tonight, with high temperatures and strong winds set to accelerate the already devastating fire conditions across the country.

There are fears that a number of still-raging blazes could merge to create “monster infernos” in Victoria and New South Wales.

Emergency warnings are in place in Victoria and New South Wales. With extreme temperatures and unpredictable winds arriving, coaling hundreds of fires that continue to burn across large parts of Australia’s east.

Thousands of firefighters have been called but, there are fears that major blazes burning could spread into untouched regions.

Meanwhile, there is a devastation that is emerging on Kangaroo Island in South Australia – half of which has been wiped out by an out-of-control blaze that has killed at least two people.

Earlier this afternoon the Prime Minister announced the deployment of 3000 defence force reservists to assist with the bushfire crisis. Adelaide is also setting sail from Sydney to assist with bushfire evacuations in southern New South Wales and also Victoria.

REFLECTION: The bushfire that started last November, was one of the worst fires ever to be recorded in Australian history.

It has affected my family and many fellow Australians. The most affected people were the ones who lost their loved ones and homes.

I had a family friend whose house was burnt down to the ground in Wingello.

Where I live in south west Sydney, the air was filled with a lot of smoke that we even had to wear masks to breath.

There was a short supply of food and water in our rural areas. ‘’
